we are excited to welcome Coach Monica to LJV!

Monica Klopp was born and raised in Redwood City, CA. She played volleyball at Woodside High School as a starting DS/Libero on the Varsity team for 3 years. She also played for RedRock Volleyball Club on both power and area teams during the rest of the year. During her volleyball career, Monica also helped coach for various teams including the 12-1’s team at RedRock in 2016 and the Freshman team at Woodside High School in 2019. In 2022, she earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington (go dawgs!) while playing for their club volleyball A team as a DS/Libero. Monica moved to San Diego last year to begin a Master’s degree program in marine biology at SDSU. After taking a year off from playing competitive volleyball, she decided to reignite her passion by becoming a coach again. Currently, she is the new all-around assistant coach at MBHS and is excited to start her first season as a LJV coach as well!
